Photographic portraits and films from the 1930s and 1940s have always fascinated Bb. The haircuts were done largely with a razor and the finishes were mainly oil-based. So when they developed their own razorcraft, they designed Brilliantine, their first product and texture tool. A blend of oils suspended in a creme base (an improvement on the pure-oil originals) gives excellent separation, extra sheen and reinforces the texture of a good razor cut.
Brilliantine's label, which touts "a languid, sexy, slept-in look," put it on the map long before today's trendy bed-this and head-that.
texture, separation, sheen, moisture
Castor Oil: shine
Lanolin: moisture
Benzophenone-4: UV Filter
anyone; use very sparingly on very fine hair; good for thick, coarse, or dry hair
anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion, before styling or after to break down hold or add texture or sheen
Start with very small amoints and build up as needed. Squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers to tousle or a comb to sleek.
Brilliantine + Styling Creme mixed in = extra body and hold
Brilliantine + a drop of DeFrizz mixed in = higher shine, humidity-proofing
